A thriving local gardeners club, with 75 members,  for experienced and inexperienced gardeners who would like to learn more about new methods, ideas  and practical skills for growing and caring for plants whilst developing an awareness of climate change and its impact on  the local environment. 

Our talks cover a wide range of topics by highly qualified and entertaining speakers.  Recent examples include ‘A Vegetable that Changed the World’, ‘Your Garden and Climate Change’, ‘Insects and Pollination’ and ‘Humour and Wisdom in the Garden’.

NEW MEMBERS ALWAYS WELCOME

Membership: £15 per annum

Monthly Meetings on the 4th Thursday of the month from September to April, held in Woolton Hill Church Hall, Woolton Hill, RG20 9XF

Doors open at 7.30pm  to catch up with other members and buy a raffle ticket, with the talk starting at 8pm.

Our programme includes a Christmas Dinner in December, a main Summer Outing to a Historical Garden, a Local Garden Visit, a Summer Social Event and the Annual General Meeting on the 1st Thursday in September. 

Membership includes 10% discount at the Yew Tree Garden Centre.    

Interesting articles are published every month in Spectrum, the Woolton Hill magazine.

The Club is affiliated to the Royal Horticultural Society which allows us one free entry for club members to Wisley Gardens annually. We are also affiliated to the Hampshire Federation of Horticultural Societies. Annual donations are given to two gardening charities: ‘Thrive’, for therapeutic gardening and ‘Perennial’, a benevolent fund for professional gardeners.
