East Woodhay Village Hall is a lovely space for events, clubs and groups. We’re located in the hamlet of Heath End, amongst rolling countryside and greenery. The hall is a generous size and well equipped for events of any kind - family parties, weddings, business meetings etc.

The Building:

The Main Hall dimensions are 8m wide by 16 m long, Capacity is 250 persons standing, 150 persons in theatre style seating and 100 persons seated at tables.

The main hall is equipped with a PA System and projector and screen, which may be hired separately.

The Committee Room is 3.3m wide and 8m long,  capable of holding 24 persons in theatre style seating, 18 seated at tables. 

Male and female toilets and a disabled toilet are provided and the Hall has two ramped access doors, one leading from the car park.

The kitchen provides good facilities for food preparation, bar and servery and  is well equipped with glassware, crockery and cutlery for up to 100 persons. 

Next to the hall is a public tennis court and play area with climbing frame and picnic bench.

Parking:

There is adequate parking on site.

Notes:

  • The use of the kitchen is included in the booking charge. It can be accessed independently from the Committee Room or the Hall. Note that sole use of the Kitchen cannot be guaranteed without booking the entire hall for sole use. Please seek confirmation from the Management Committee.

ANNOUNCEMENT

Woolton Hill Church Hall is at the junction of Church Road and Woolton Hill Road, RG20 9XF

The Church Hall has a new outside play area which can be booked in conjunction with the main hall.

This project is funded by the UK Government through the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs as part of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

The Building

The building is a unique blend of heritage features and up to date amenities. In recent years is has been thoughtfully refurbished, making the most of the space and providing an inviting welcome for all users. 

It has a main hall, commercial kitchen, two meeting rooms (larger and smaller) outdoor play area and adjacent car park.

Main Hall

There is wheel-chair access, an accessible toilet, five adult toilets and two children's toilets.

To have exclusive use of the commercial kitchen, both the main hall and larger meeting room need to be booked. 

The outdoor play area is suitable for children’s parties and is directly accessed from the main hall.

Whilst the smaller meeting room does not have access to the kitchen, it has its own tea and coffee making facilities.

Parking

There is adequate parking both on site or very nearby.  The car park can be hired for trading purposes when booked in conjunction with one or more of the rooms.

Extra Charges

There are none!

The use of tables, chairs, crockery, cutlery, glassware, WIFI, projector screen and sound system are ALL included within the published hire rates below.

Hire Rates

The current rates are as follows:-

  • Whole building (main hall, kitchen, two meeting rooms and outdoor play area) for say a wedding reception, is £33 per hour.

  • The main hall & large meeting room which gives exclusive use of the kitchen and outside play area is £26 per hour. 

  • The main hall which gives exclusive use of the outside play area and shared use of the kitchen is £19 per hour.

  • Each meeting room is £7 per hour.

  • Use of car park for trading/commercial purposes is £12 per hour.

Age Concern Hampshire’s Community Information Volunteers (previously known as Village Agents), help people – and their family, friends and carers – find the information and support they need to stay living safely and independently.

·      Find – Provide information on a range of topics, such as finding help to manage around the home, social activities locally or what government help someone may be eligible for.

·      Help – Get to know the local charities and support groups working in the area and can help put people in touch with the right help at the right time.

·      Connect – Provide a bit of tailored support to help a person to get connected to the service they need. This may be making a phone call, filling in a form on their behalf or making first introductions to a group.

 Examples include: reviewing benefit eligibility; completing forms, such as Attendance Allowance and Blue Badge; locating tradespeople for your home and garden; finding transport; signposting to home services, such as cleaners and meal delivery, and much more.
